The predominant method of cleaning over the last century has been to apply detergents, soaps and chemicals, combined with water, onto a surface, scrub or wipe the surface and then rinse the chemical, soap or detergent off of that surface. This has proven to be less than effective and residual dirt and chemicals mix, attract more dirt and incrementally build up over time.
